Elitecore extends Channel Data agreement.

Elitecore Technologies, the vendor of the Cyberoam identity-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) range of appliances, has announced that it has expanded its existing distribution agreement with Channel Data.

With this expansion of the pre-existing contract, Elitecore says that Channel Data has been given rights to distribute newly launched CR 200i and CR 300i solutions from the company.

According to Harish Chib VP new business development, Elitecore, this is a deal to provide a comprehensive and powerful range of appliances that deliver high ROI especially for SMBs.

Chib says that the CR200i and CR300i models have been designed to allow Cyberoam customers to improve their choice criteria in matching the right solution within their unique security and performance requirements, and thus, achieve greater value out of Cyberoam products.

He says that these new appliances represent an unprecedented combination of exceptional performance using multi-core processor technology, which allows Cyberoam security appliances to achieve high UTM throughputs in comparison to hardware-based ASIC solutions.

"With rising dependence on the Internet, SME demand for high performance security products has been on the rise. The deal will allow us to capitalise the rise in demand with our newly launched CR 200i and CR 300i,” he says.

Chib says that Cyberoam products are available in 55 countries and have a good reputation in the area of Identity-based UTM appliances.

Cyberoam range of appliances is distributed in South Africa by Channel Data.
